The Blacksburg Master Chorale will engage its audiences and patrons with musically vivid performances of classical and traditional choral works, either with or without orchestra, within a pleasing acoustical venue. We intend to "inflame the coldest heart" to experience the full beauty and intensity of this rich music with works both new and old, spanning the history of choral music. To achieve these artistic ends, the Corporation will use several means and strategies to fulfill its artistic vision for the residents of southwestern Virginia. We will:

• Present at least two contrasting concerts annually within the New River Valley/Roanoke area
• Promote an agenda of outreach and educational programs for residents of all ages
• Foster appreciation of the choral art form within the community
• Form beneficial cooperative ventures with business, government, educational institutions, and other arts organizations

Introducing:

The Blacksburg Master Singers is chamber choir comprised of musicians from the Blacksburg Master Chorale. This select ensemble presents repertoire appropriate for a small ensemble and is available for private functions and outreach activities.

The Blacksburg Children's Chorale is a choir for singers in grades 3-8. Adolescent voice specialist Patrice Yearwood guides young singers through repertoire that is musically enriching and fun to sing! Mrs. Yearwood can be reached at payearwood@aol.com.
